This large cross pendant is beautifully crafted from all natural materials. It starts out as a single piece of bayong wood and is carved into the cross shape. The wood here is a warm caramel or reddish brown. Then, gifted artisans inlay pieces of natural abalone (paua) shell onto each side of the cross. There is a half-drilled hole, drilled into the top of the long axis of the cross. Everything is done by hand, so there are some variations which result in a very natural appearance. Lovely for meaningful design.
